A staggering number of Indian adults do not understand basic financial concepts leading to poor financial choices and investment mistakes.

To bridge this gap Atulya Foundation conducts financial literacy training in partnership with various ground level NGOs, schools, colleges, RWAs etc. The curriculum focuses on basic concepts like banking, income, expense, investment, mobile wallets etc. This project is being implemented in partnership with NIIT Foundation.

Education Scholarship:

We are providing education support to youth from disadvantaged communities for higher studies.

Access of quality education content:

On the International Literacy Day 2021, we facilitated free access to quality education content to over 400 students across the country with support of BYJU’S and Little Umbrella Foundation.

On World Youth Skills Day, we launched our pilot Skill Development and Employment program in Mayur Vihar Phase-3, Delhi.

The 6-months long program will train 40 youth on Banking correspondence course and Soft-skills enabling them to become employable.

The syllabus of the course has been aligned with National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) to bridge the gap between demand and supply of skilled labour force. To make them job-ready, they will be provided with a certificate which will have accreditation of NSDC.

The program is being implemented in partnership with CAF India. To ensure smooth placement, linkages & networking will be done with industry players in the banking and finance sector.

The health and hygiene project includes all the necessary immunization and vaccination of the girls along with the check-ups and medication.

To ensure the health and hygiene for young girls, we have implemented a project within Pardada Pardadi Educational Society, Bulandshahr.

We have reached out to over 1,000 girls centres to provide them with the access to MBBS Doctors and Nurses. The girls have access to specialized treatments like Intravenous drip therapy, plastering of broken limbs, wound dressing, minor surgeries & emergency medicines along with vaccination of Hepatitis A/B, Thyroid, Covid, Tetanus, & Cervical Cancer.

Safe Menstrual Hygiene practices:

Regular awareness sessions on menstrual hygiene are a critical part of our health & hygiene project. The awareness sessions are conducted in partnership with experts in corporates, schools and slum areas. One such initiative was done with Pure Hearts NGO under ‘Meri Pehchan’ that promotes usage of menstrual cups and healthier women hygiene on International Women’s Day. Through the initiative we were able to give a gift of hygiene – menstrual cups to the women sweepers who toil hard to look after the sanitation and cleanliness for MCG.

With the main objective of improving the living standards of the rural people, we adopted a village in the Bulandshahr district of Uttar Pradesh.

With the main objective of improving the living standards of the rural people, we adopted a village in the Bulandshahr district of Uttar Pradesh. To turn it into a smart village and a hub of opportunities. We started with a Baseline socio economic and UAV survey in the village to identify major hindrances in the development and the aspiration of the community members. As a result of the survey findings, development of a drainage network has started in the village. This will be followed by construction of roads and ponds rejuvenation in the coming years as part of a rural development programme.

Using agroforestry models. Farmers of certain villages have been practicing chemical farming for more than two decades now. As a result, the soil has degraded and every year farmers have to use more and more chemicals to increase their yield. Water table is also major problem farmers are facing, since chemical farming requires more water. Under such projects we have planted 2,000 saplings of various fruits like orange, Mango, Litchi, Grapes, Jamun, lemon and more with the objective of increasing income & net profit of the farmers.

We conduct Tree planation drives in Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra with Capital India employees, transgender communities and special needs communities.

Covid Relief Campaign:

A year like none other, 2020 brought with it the Covid pandemic followed by adversity and uncertainty. Covid-19 relief campaign was started in April 2020 through which we reached out to more than 12,000 frontline workers, migrant laborers, daily wage laborers, slum dwellers and covid positive patients. The campaign included PPE Kits, ration & hygiene kits, masks, meal boxes, sanitary pads distribution etc. in the states of Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, and Maharashtra.

During the second wave, the foundation started the covid relief campaign in the villages where we saw a surge in covid cases. We tried reaching out to every single household under ‘Covid Mukti Abhiyan’. A well-planned execution was done in the villages on lines of ‘prevention, awareness & cure’. A 3- day sanitation drive was conducted in which a team of experts from Krest Facilitators private limited conducted a sanitation drive with spraying of Diversey Care along with cold fogging inside and outside of all the houses, roads, schools, dispensary, and community center. During the 3-day sanitation drive, an awareness campaign by putting up posters of covid-19 guidelines around the village was done successfully.

We also facilitated Covid vaccination & testing camp in villages in which over 1500 random testing was done & 80+ community members got vaccinated. Amidst the unprecedented pandemic situation, Atulya Foundation donated oxygen concentrators at various locations.
